In light of the current state of our world and the uncertainty of the future, at Sphere, we want you to know that we are here for you. These are incredibly unsettling times, leaving some of us with endless free time and others with the challenge of trying to save the world. No matter what your situation through this global pandemic, we want to help. So, we would like to stay in touch with a new perspective on wellness to ensure you have all the information you need to maintain your eye health, aide in your isolation self-improvement, or simply provide some interesting new reading material.

Holistic wellness has never been more top-of-mind than it has been the past couple months – holistic meaning everything in the body working together as a whole. An area of our overall wellness that can often be overlooked in our busy lives is our eyes. It’s so important to remember that, just like we do our best to protect and maintain the health of our internal organs, our skin, and our minds, our eyes are what will allow us to watch our children and grandchildren grow, to binge watch TV series, do endless puzzles, and to thoroughly experience and explore the world around us and the lives we lead.

As with all other aspects of health and wellness, the health of our eyes comes down to proper maintenance. What are the things we are doing every day that could be hurting the health of our eyes? Is our eye makeup affecting our eye health? What about the products we regularly use around our eyes? Are there things we should be eating to ensure our eyes will take us into old age?

Over the next few months, this blog series will tackle these questions and more to help you take proactive and preventative measures to maintain your eye health.

A great first step to optimizing your ocular wellness is to remember to visit your optometrist every year for a routine examination. At Sphere, we endeavour to provide kind, compassionate, and intuitive care, and we will do our best to ensure you know everything you can about your eye health and holistic wellness.
