How Lumecca IPL Works
Lumecca IPL penetrates the skin to target melanin and hemoglobin in the deeper layers, helping:
- Reduce redness and pigmentation: Age spots, sun damage, and vascular lesions can be reduced for a more even skin tone.
- Stimulate collagen production: Promotes skin renewal and elasticity, leading to smoother and firmer skin and improved overall skin texture.
- Targets active acne: Kills acne-causing bacteria and can reduce inflammation for a glowing complexion.
How Lumecca-I Works
Lumecca-I is specifically designed to manage dry eye disease by targeting inflammation of the eyelids and meibomian glands. We typically recommend pairing it with a full-face Lumecca treatment when a patient has ocular rosacea.
It uses light energy to penetrate the tissue effectively:
- Stimulating meibomian gland function: Open clogged glands, promoting the release of natural oils and enhancing tear film stability.
- Reducing inflammation: Targets inflammation in the eyelids and surrounding tissues, helping to soothe redness and irritation.
